The new MVNO launched services in the UK, where it offers affordable smartphone plans that include Unlimited texts, calls and mobile data, as well as Nokia phones. Basically, HMD Mobile allows mobile subscribers to buy their device and their mobile network service from the same place.
Riding on EE’s mobile network means that HMD Mobile subscribers get to enjoy the widest 4G coverage in the United Kingdom. It also means that they will be able to enjoy 5G services, as EE’s 5G network is in the works. The new operator offers 5G-ready smartphones by Nokia as well. HMD Global recently announced a handful of 5G-ready affordable smartphones, including the Nokia X10 and X20. The market is also expecting the Nokia X50. Apart from access to text messages, calls and mobile data in the UK, subscribers also get access to roaming in Europe. HMD says that subscribers are able to enjoy data roaming in certain EU countries at no extra cost. Tariffs start at £13 per month for a 10 GB data and a Nokia 3.4 budget Android phone, along with a Clear Case. This is an introductory promo offer. There are other offers available, including a Nokia X20 plus 15 GB monthly promo data.
